Discussing Mario
The Nintendo Life team look back at the Mario franchise
Published on 12/08/2012

One of the things I'm enjoying most about writing for Nintendo Life is the opportunity to do new things with a new team of people, and this week alongside our usual team article pieces, we all sat down to discuss the Super Mario series in a Round Table feature.

I've recently been very critical of the franchise, as for me, the release of New Super Mario Bros. 2 closely followed by New Super Mario Bros. U is dangerously close to running the series into the ground, so it was nice to get a chance to not only air these views, but also to look back at a franchise I love so much.

Having recently completed Super Mario World 100% for the first time, it was also good to discuss the long history of the franchise and reminisce about some of the finest moments in gaming. But that's all in the article, so be sure to check it out. We all had a lot of fun doing it, I hope you enjoy reading it as much we did talking about Mario.
