SEGA feature my top 10 list
My games of 2011 list appears on an official SEGA feed
Published on 09/01/2012

Shortly before Christmas I posted up my top 10 games of 2011 list, featuring some of the biggest names in gaming. It appears SEGA have spotted the article are thanks to a good placing for Sonic Generations, have featured the article on their official Sonic the Hedgehog Facebook page.

Sonic Generations on PC was my 6th best game of 2011, thanks to its mix of Classic and Modern Sonic and the fantastic way it showcased the anniversary of one of gaming's most important mascots. Here's an excerpt from my review of the game published shortly after its release in November;

"Sonic Generations is in no way a simple re-release or re-build of an existing game. Instead it is a carefully constructed love letter to the fans of the series who have stuck with it so long; it is a game that will bring to the forefront of your mind every nostalgic moment you have had with the hedgehog over the past 20 years, and more importantly, it is a game that you will cherish every single moment playing with a huge grin on your face. Quite simply, it is a masterpiece in not only referential nostalgia, but also in design."

Thanks to SEGA for promoting my article.
