This year's E3 was one of the least surprising shows in years, largely due to leaks prior to the show. But the overall feel of E3 has changed, and with non-gaming media now at event yearly, the target audience has shifted. With conferences now aired on TV, could it be that the core gamer needs to go somewhere else to get their E3 fix, and could Nintendo have found the answer in the form of smaller conferences and Nintendo Direct?
