Nintendo's Revised Approach to E3
A few years ago, E3 was the centre-piece of the gaming year. But with increased media coverage and a larger casual audience, the event has begun to shift it's focus to broader games. Whereas in years past Nintendo have closed with Metroid: Other M, this year the show closed with Nintendo Land, signifying a shift in target audience. To combat this, Nintendo have begun producing Nintendo Direct broadcasts, focussing very much on traditional games such as Mario and Zelda. So in this new age, do Nintendo need E3 any more, and is this new approach a sign of things to come?

Reimagining The Wind Waker on Wii U
Released to much controversy in 2003, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has since gone on to become one of the most beloved games ever created. And in 2013, it will be making a triumphant return on Wii U, and with a fresh coat of paint. But what else can Nintendo do to make this HD remake the definitive version of this timeless Zelda title? I take a look at the various aspects of The Wind Waker, and speculate on the many uses of the GamePad, and the gameplay tweaks that could iron out the minor faults of the original.
